This morning we were getting ready for our 9AM service and Parlee, the church secretary, came over and talked to Greg (sound guy) and Brett (preacher). Greg mentioned we were getting low on audio tapes for recording the sermons. Let's pause here for a few seconds and set up a little bit of the history. For as long as I have known we have ALWAYS recorded our sermon on TAPEs. In the past 4+ years we have also recorded each sermon digitally and burnt CDs and made them available for download online. Forever I have tried to stop recording on tapes as I don't know how many people actually use them anymore. Well, back to current time, Parlee said it is probably time for us to stop as we haven't made copies on TAPE in such a long time. So, thus, an end of an era ... we are probably going to have a ceremony next week and call the Smithsonian and donate our tape deck to them as I think this thing has been around since prehistoric times.
