After 6.752 hours of searching the web I FINALLY found the Chipotle Burrito Commercial MP3 Denise was talking about all day today. OK, maybe it wasn't 6.752 hours and close to 6.752 minutes but it has been found.

You have to listen to it for yourself. For those of you looking for it you can now get it from my site!

From www.theindychannel.com

DALLAS -- Richard LeFevre is hot stuff. The 62-year-old retired accountant from Nevada is the winner of the Jalapeño Eating World Championship held at the State Fair of Texas.

He downed 247 of the hot peppers in just eight minutes. For his efforts, LeFevre won $2,000.

He said there's a method to his fiery madness. LeFevre mixes three or four peppers in his mouth with a swig of milk before swallowing.

Another veteran eater, Christopher Huang, entered the competition even though he doesn't usually eat spicy foods. He had to bow out after just 53 jalapeños.

Huang said for a few minutes he couldn't speak or even feel his face.

The other afternoon I went over to Ben Davis to work with some folks on some VOIP (Voice Over IP) issues. Well after about an hour I decided to stop by the pop machine and get myself some caffeine. I got to the pop machine and put my dollar in ... pressed Diet Pepsi and waited a couple of seconds.

Much to my chagrin the pop machine decided it was going to hold on to my cool diet drink and make me put in another dollar to get it out. As I was getting the dollar out of my wallet a couple of students (girls) walked up behind me conversing about how hungry they were. I made a comment out loud about how the machine ate my dollar and how I was going to have to buy another drink just to get my first one out.

After putting the dollar in the machine the girl immediately pressed the regular Pepsi button and proceeded to grab it and run off! Can you believe that?

I was like "ummm ... I don't think so" and was perfectly prepared to take off and chase her down and get my drink. She looked over at me and had the guts to say "what?" ... I said "ummm ... that's my drink" ... she said "I'm thirsty" to which I replied "that's great ... you can have the drink but it'll cost you $1". She then gave me a story about how she was really hungry and thirsty and hadn't eaten all day to which I replied "I'm sorry but if you want the drink you'll have to give me $1". She gave me $0.75 and I decided that was about as much as I was going to get and told her "better luck next time".

Can you believe that? What is the deal with kids these days? Do they think that everything should be given to them for free and on a silver platter? I think they need to get with the program here.

So it’s report card time again. This is a really stressful time for me at work. With it being the 1st 9 weeks, it’s even more stressful. I remember last year at the end of the 4th 9 weeks Chris left for Florida right at the busiest time of the year. Doesn’t it seem a little fishy that Chris is leaving for Atlanta this week? And here I am stressin’ over report cards? Hmmm….do you think he is doing this on purpose?

I know…I’m only kidding. :) It just HAPPENED to work out this way. Chris is going with a group from church to the Catalyst Conference in Atlanta, Georgia until Saturday night. They left this morning in the new church van. So at least it will be a little more comfortable for them in a new vehicle! Not sure how long it will take for them to get there, but I am sure they won’t arrive until late this evening.

NOTE TO CHRISTOPHER…DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER UNTIL AFTER YOU GET HOME :)

___________________________________________________________

This weekend I am creating my own version of “While You Were Out.” I am redecorating/rearranging the downstairs while Chris is gone. I already have a few ideas in my head and I can’t wait to get started!! It’s going to be so much fun! After it’s all said and done with I’ll post some pictures of the house – or ask my wonderful husband to do it for me :) By the way…you all need to harass him about not posting pics of the van yet!

This morning started off fairly typical. I woke up just as Denise was leaving for work, gave her a hug and kiss, then laid staring at my night stand for about 10 minutes prior to going downstairs. I went downstairs and got Nolan ready for breakfast this morning.

You see, we have a deal/tradition in our house that if during the week Nolan doesn't have any behavioral issues at school and doesn't miss the buss I treat him to breakfast and a ride to school. This morning was like most Friday's this school year (yea Nol!) and we went to breakfast.

After dropping off Nolan at school I came home to find Marti upstairs running and shaking around like a crazed animal (which he is). I was finally able to corral him and get him downstairs. I thought he needed to go outside so I put him out there to do his business while I did mine.

I left him outside for about 3-4 minutes unsupervised (big mistake). When I went out back to find him he was nowhere to be seen. I called for him and heard nothing (again ... not a good sign).

In a panic I ran to the front door thinking the worst and got outside and couldn't see him anywhere. Then I decided to call for him and immediately I heard his collar and he stopped about 5-7 houses down the street ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STREET (he better have looked both ways).

He stood there in the middle of the driveway looking back at me like "what'd I do?". I called him and said to "come here". Marti started walking this way so I went down a couple houses shaking my head in disbelief. I looked up and again couldn't find him anywhere! I'm like "where in the heck did houdini martini go?".

I called him again and looked. I saw just the faint sign of him looking over the BUSH THAT HE WAS HIDING (actually sitting) BEHIND!!! As soon as he noticed I saw him he came running and went inside.

Can you believe he thought he deserved a treat? Wonder where he would have gone if it were a double flush?

Till next time ...
